Surprises

The other day Mitch came home from work, woke me up from a nap (don't judge) and told me we were going somewhere (in lieu of the gym) and it was a surprise. I of course immediately pestered him relentlessly until he gave in and told me what the surprise was (a girl's gotta know what she's getting herself into, right?). We were going for a pre-dinner hike on the local mountain, Mt Keira.

In the end, all Mitch's efforts to poke and prod me out of bed, into appropriate clothes and out the door were worth it. Short pre-dinner hikes turn out to be quite nice, by the way.

That is, until you're in the car on the way home and somehow a leech falls off your ankle where it has been vampiring you  and gets onto your finger and you're shaking your hand like a crazy person first at Mitch and then out the car window. It's probably extremely lucky Mitch didn't crash the car in all the uproar. And then once Mitch has dealt with the leech and is getting back in the car you discover one in his footwell. And then you both feel extremely squirmy all the way home imagining leeches crawling up your legs….

But apart from that, it was lovely! Here's some ipictures!

PS Are iPhone 5 photos better quality than iPhone 4 ones? I feel like other people (bloggers) get some really great quality ipictures...
